Old Black Spruce Woodworking offers a variety of unique items handcrafted from wood. I enjoy mostly using wood species native to New England, but incorporating an exotic species with a native wood is not out of the ordinary. My decoys are hand carved from native Maine White Pine, Basswood, and Cedar. The decoys are then hand painted in the "antique style", using acrylic paints, to give each bird it's own unique character.
